Happy Monday guys! Recipe of the day is Deep-fried Burrata Salad – crispy on the outside and so creamy on the inside Burrata cheese on a bed of mixed cherry tomatoes. 🤤
What you need:
- Burrata cheese
- mixed cherry tomatoes
- fresh basil
- flour
- breadcrumbs
- an egg
- sunflower oil for frying
For the dressing:
- olive oil
- balsamico
- salt and pepper
Here’s how to make this delicious Deep-fried Burrata Salad
Ingredients:
- 2 Burrata balls
- 200g mixed cherry tomatoes
- 80g fresh basil leaves
For the deep – frying:
- 1 egg, whisked
- 3tbsp plain flour
- 4tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1tsp dry oregano
- 1tsp paprika
- salt and pepper
- sunflower oil for frying
Preparation:
- Fill a pot with sunflower oil, at least halfway and heat it up.
- Place the flour on a shallow plate, the breadcrumbs, mixed with the seasoning on another and the whisked egg in a bowl.
- Coat the Burrata balls (gently!) in the flour. Use your other hand to dip them in the egg mixture and then the flour hand to coat them in the breadcrumbs.
- Place them in the hot oil and fry for a couple of minutes on each side.
- Take them out of the pot and leave on a plate with kitchen roll to cool.
- Meanwhile, arrange the salad – combine the tomatoes, basil and dressing ingredients and once the salad is dressed, divide between two serving plates. Leave space in the middle for the Deep – fried Burrata.
- Serve immediately!
Enjoy!
For a bit more filling version, serve with some garlic bread. Make sure to serve the salad while the Burrata is still hot.
