Happy Wednesday guys! Recipe of the day is Baked Pepperoni Cheese Donuts – delicious savoury donuts tasting like pizza! Isn’t that amazing! 🤤
What you need:
- self-raising flour
- baking powder
- cheese
- pepperoni
- cherry tomatoes
- eggs
- yogurt
- fresh basil
- olive oil
- poppy seeds
- salt
These mini beauties are super easy to make – all you need is a donut pan. They’re ready in 15 minutes and it takes 10 minutes to prep all the ingredients. The taste is between Margherita & Pepperoni pizza so what’s not to love about them. Oh, yes… they’re OVEN-BAKED, not fried which adds another point to the list. 👌
Here’s how to make these super tasty Baked Pepperoni Cheese Donuts
Ingredients:
- 250g self-raising flour
- 1 1/2tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs, whisked
- 100ml yogurt
- 100g mild Cheddar, grated
- 100g pepperoni, cut into small cubes
- 7-8 cherry tomatoes, sliced
- 10 fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2tbsp olive oil
- 2tsp poppy seeds
- salt to taste
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200C.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and poppy seeds.
- In a separate bowl, whisk in all the wet ingredients and add the cheese, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes and basil at the end.
- Combine the two mixtures gently and mix well.
- Grease a donut pan and pour in the donut mxture. Make sure to leave a bit of space as they will rise when baking.
- Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
- Leave them to cool before taking them out of the pan.
