Happy Tuesday guys! Recipe of the day is Easy Plum Clafoutis – perfect for the last day of August and welcoming September.
I hope you guys are all well and enjoying the last Summer days. Our holiday is officially over and the kids are back to school in a couple of days. We’re all excited about it. 🙂
Also, Autumn is just around a corner which in my foodie head means lots of amazing produce and new delicious recipes on the way (lots of beets, apples, blackberries, squash, pears and many more). So stay tuned! 🙂
Now, back to the Plum Clafoutis – really simple and quick recipe and such a treat. Serve with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, custard on its own – it is gorgeous, trust me! 🙂
What you need:
- ripe plums
- eggs
- flour
- butter
- sugar
- milk
- double cream
- Amaretto
- hazelnuts
Here’s how to make these lovely Easy Plum Clafoutis
Ingredients:
- 400g ripe plums, cut in halves and stones removed
- 150g sugar
- 60g butter, meted
- 80g flour
- 200ml milk
- 160ml double cream
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- 1tbsp Amaretto
- chopped hazelnuts for serving
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C.
- Heat a pan with the plums, half of the butter and two tbsp sugar. Cook for 3-4 minutes, making sure not to overcook them.
- In a bowl, whisk the wet ingredients together, add the flour and sugar and whisk until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
- Divide the plums in individual moulds and pour the egg mixture on top.
- Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle some chopped roasted hazelnuts and serve hot or cold.
