Figs are in their peak now!
Perfect with honey and goat’s or feta cheese – so go ahead and pick up some fresh and ripe figs!
Today’s recipe is sweet fig tart with honey and goat’s cheese!
This tart is really simple to make – a few ingredients needed and it’s ready in just a few steps.
To me, it screams ‘summer, summer, summer’.
However, when it’s this time of the year, I always got the feeling the autumn is coming.
Not that I don’t like Autumn!
After all, it’s the season that gives most fruit and veggies!
And Halloween’s in the Autumn!:-)
Here’s what you need for the fig and goat’s cheese honey tart.

Ingredients:
- 300g/10.5oz flour
- 3 eggs
- 100g/3.5oz butter
- a pinch of salt
- 10 ripe figs, cut into slices
- 150g/5oz goat’s cheese
- 1tbsp dry thyme
- pure honey for drizzling

Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/392°F
- In a bowl, combine the flour, eggs, butter and salt.
- Grease a baking tray and layer the dough.
- Spread the goat’s cheese evenly, on top of the dough.
- Arrange the fig slices and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until ready.
- Drizzle with pure honey and sprinkle some thyme.
Enjoy!
Tip: If you’re not fan of goat’s cheese, try substituting with feta cheese!
