Happy Tuesday guys! Recipe of the day is Christmas Rocky Road – silky dark chocolate, combined with lots of sweets and biscuits in fun festive shape.
The kids absolutely love these treats! I find them so handy when I need to get rid of all the opened packs of sweets left in the cupboard. 🙂
You can use different types of candies, nuts, dried fruit, jellybean, gummy bears and whatnot.
Whatever I use though, I always add some crushed biscuits – they really make the difference , I think. 🙂
Melt the chocolate and let your kids add in all the candies and dried fruit. Let the moulds set in the fridge and enjoy together.
What you need:
- dark chocolate
- butter
- golden syrup
- candies
- biscuits
- dried fruit
Here’s how to make this simple Christmas Rocky Road
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate
- 120g butter
- 1tbsp golden syrup
- dried fruit
- candies
- biscuits, crushed
Preparation:
- In a bowl, melt the chocolate, butter and golden syrup and leave to cool.
- Add the crushed biscuits, candies and/or dried fruit and mix well with the melted chocolate.
- Use a Christmas silicone mould – snowman, Christmas tree or Father Christmas and pour the rocky road.
- Refrigerate for a few hours until the mixture is completely set and firm.
