Happy Wednesday guys! Recipe of the day is Spicy Feta Dip – delicious appetizer, perfect on crackers or veggie sticks.
This is a great dip for the spicy food lovers, ready in no time. All you need is some feta, chillies and a combination of mayo and yogurt. The saltiness of the cheese balances out the heat just perfect. I used some chives but fresh parsley works great too.
I have probably making this dip every week for the last month and can’t get enough of it.
If you like it really hot add a chiili or two, or simply use one chilli only, if it’s too hot for you.
In any case, it should definitely warm you up. 😂
What you need:
- feta cheese
- yogurt
- mayo
- chives
- chilli peppers
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
Here’s how to make this fiery Spicy Feta Dip
Ingredients:
- 200g feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 chilli peppers (I love scotch bonnet and Moroccan chillies, anything is fine as long as it gives a good kick 😃)
- 20g fresh chives, chopped
- 100g mayo
- 2-3 heaped tbsp yogurt
- 1tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix the mayo and yogurt. Add the feta crumbs, chive and chillies and mix well. If you prefer a creamy consistency, blitz the feta with mayo and yogurt before adding the rest of the ingredients.
- Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a serving bowl.
- Enjoy with some crackers, bread and/or veggie chips.
