Happy Friday guys! Recipe of the day is Easy Creamy Mustard Chicken – delicious and comforting meal, ready in no time. 👌
I am a true Dijon mustard fan and this creamy sauce is like heaven to me. Combined with double cream, seasoning and succulent chicken legs, this meal is one of my favs for super quick and easy dinner that will make your hearts warm and bellies happy. 🤤
It only uses a few basic ingredients – chicken legs, mustard, cream and seasoning so it’s perfect for a budget friendly family meal.
Apart from serving it with pasta, rice, mash potatoes, it is also delicious served over some bulgur wheat, which I simply love.
What you need:
- chicken legs
- shallot
- Dijon mustard
- double cream
- thyme
- salt and pepper
- butter
How to make this comforting Easy Creamy Mustard Chicken:
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken legs
- 300ml double cream
- 3tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1-2 thyme sprigs
- 1tbsp butter for frying
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Heat a pan with the butter and place the chicken legs, skin facing down. Leave for 6-7 minutes and turn on the other side for 6-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the pan. Add the shallots and garlic and gently sweat for 3-4 minutes. Add the cream and mustard, dip in the chicken. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle the thyme on top, cover with foil and place in the oven for about 40 minutes.
- Serve with some, rise, mash potatoes or pasta.
