Poulet de Perre Lathuille

Happy Wednesday guys! Recipe of the day is Poulet de Perre Lathuille or sauteed chicken with mushroom and potatoes – delicious and comforting dish since the 19th century!

Poulet de Perre Lathuille

I have recently read a quite interesting article about Edouard Manet in a culinary magazine (of course 😀) and I found it so so inspiring! Honestly, I have barely known anything about him and his art. Not only I fell in love with his art but I also felt so inspired to make one of his favourite dishes – Poullet de Perre Lathuille. It is named after the bistro owner Manet used to visit. Apparently ‘Perre Lathuille’ used to make this delicious sautéed chicken with mushrooms and potatoes that Manet loved. And not only this but many other dishes that were quite simple but absolutely delicious. Simple food is the best food!

Hence today’s recipe is all about simple ingredients(mushrooms, chicken and potatoes) and delicious and comforting taste. There’s also some white wine and garlic involved and lots of love! Because everything cooked with love is so much tastier! 👌Serve it with lots of fresh parsley!

After a short research, I’ve found quite a few recipes but after all, I have updated the recipe to my taste and liking. The result was a delicious casserole with succulent chicken, sautéed mushrooms and potatoes, all generously sprinkled with fresh parsley. Bon a petit!
