What’s the better on Sunday than a lazy Sunday roast.
Today, I’ve decided to be different, so I made roasted poussins in white wine and garlic & thyme butter.:-)

They turned out super delicious.
The meat is so tender it comes off the bones.
All you need is a couple of poussins, garlic, butter and thyme.
The rest is up to the oven!
Enjoy your Sunday roast!
Here are the ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 2 poussins
- 100g butter, cut into small pieces, 3.5oz
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 100g dry thyme, 3.5oz
- 1 cup white wine(dry)
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 220°C/428°C.
- Rub the poussins with the garlic butter.
- Sprinkle with thyme.
- Add salt.
- In a baking tin with a rack pour in the wine.
- Place the poussins in the tin.
- Cover with foil and cook in the oven for about 45-50 minutes or until ready.
- Whilst cooking, check on the poussins regularly – remove the foil, pour some of the wine sauce and cover again.
- Finally, when ready, remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Serve with some roasted veggies and a nice glass of wine!
Enjoy!

Tip: Use a good quality dry white wine(if possible), I use dry Sauvignon Blanc and it is definitely worth it!
