As Christmas is just around the corner, I’ve decided to start posting some festive recipes to inspire you guys!
This week’s festive recipe is the Rudolph’s favourites.:)
We all leave cookies for Santa Claus but nothing for Rudolph.
So here it is – leave some of these under the Christmas tree and you might get an extra present!:)
Ingredients: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- 300g wholemeal flour
- 160ml water
- 2tbsp turmeric
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 100g dried dates
- 1 yeast (7g)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1tbsp powder sugar
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 190°C.            Â
Place the dates in a bowl and pour in some hot water. Leave for 10 minutes and drain. Combine with the banana.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, yeast and dark sugar. Add the water and mix. Cover the dough with cling film and leave for an hour to rest.
Roll out the dough and cut it with a ring.
Place some of the banana and dates mixture in the middle and cover with another piece.
Use a fork to press down and close the dough.Â
Brush with the beaten egg and and leave for 15 minutes to rest.
Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the powder sugar and serve.
Don’t forget to save some for Rudolph!:)

Tip: Always leave the dough somewhere warm. It usually should double its size.
