Mummy’s Fast & Easy

Happy Meatless Monday guys!

Christmas is almost here and I hope all of you have sorted out your Christmas shopping till now (unlike me!).

I know it’s been a while since my last recipe post but as you might know we just welcomed another baby girl in our family and life’s been crazy recently. It’s been a week but I think things are getting back into order now. I’ll aim to post at least a week in the beginning and hopefully gradually increase my posts to three. So bear with me, I’m getting hold of this!

The recipe of the day is of course, Christmassy, but this time instead of making Christmas cookies or any other sweets I decided to try some savoury Christmas crackers. And I’m so glad I did. These were so tasty we finished them while they were still hot! Well, I didn’t make that many to be honest which I should have!
The recipe is super quick and easy with lots of seeds – both Chia and Poppy and butter!

Here’s what you need.

  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and make a smooth dough.
  2. Dust your working surface with a bit of flour and roll out the dough to about1.5cm thick.
  3. Using Christmas tree cutters start cutting out the dough.
  4. Place the Christmas crackers on a greased baking tray and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until ready.
Enjoy!

Tip: These are extremely good so don’t limit yourself and make them at Christmas only! Use different cutters or simply shape them up as you’d like!
