Mummy’s Fast & Easy

Happy Sunday!
The countdown till Christmas has begun so have the Christmas recipes.
Chestnuts are definitely one of the ingredients that are a must during the festive period.

I love chestnuts and I’ve tried some savoury chestnut recipes before but never a sweet one so I thought it was about time.
The recipe is gluten free, basically, the flour is substituted by the chestnuts. Don’t think it’s just that, though. You can really taste the chestnuts and I’ve never thought they would go so well with chocolate. I used just regular milk chocolate in the recipe but now I’m thinking it’ll be super indulgent with some dark.
Oh, I think I forgot to mention the recipe is for muffins. They turned out so moist and yummy that they were gone really quickly.
The only downside I can think of is the process of cooking and peeling the chestnuts. But, fortunately, you can find peeled and cooked, ready to use chestnuts almost everywhere now.

Here’s what you need.

Tip: Why not add some nuts such as walnuts for a bit more of a crunch!
